(Excerpt from Sunday Times Magazine - Sunday 08/02/2009)
Nearly 250 guests laughed at the short film that follows the flag waving and faux pas of ex rugby team mates Mick Colliss, Mark Skiffington and brothers Hamish and Sandy Sutherland. Preview Screening Rocks Perth
"Colours By Numbers" was previewed at the University of WA in Perth on Saturday 31st January.
The 300- odd strong crowd were re splendidly dressed in formal black tie with a touch of green and gold.
After the traditional playing of the national anthem, the film was officially presented by Mark Skiffington (Captain), Mick Colliss (Vice- Captain), and brothers Hamish and Sandy Sutherland.
Amongst the "who's who" of the Perth Social scene, were past and present Olympic athletes, national rugby representatives, and the West Australian Monopoly Champion.
Scott Baskett, director of Colours By Numbers was thrilled by the audience's response, "We had a wonderful night" he said after the screening, " and the turn out is a testiment to the participants of the film and their bridging of the worlds of sport and puzzles".
The next step is to promote the film through film festivals, and attract broadcast interest.
